This just didn’t do it for me. I understand Candy’s motivations, but the reasons for Nathan’s actions just were not enough to justify or even explain his behavior. Not even close.

Review
This just didn’t do it for me. I understand Candy’s motivations, but the reasons for Nathan’s actions just were not enough to justify or even explain his behavior. Not even close.

What made the first 2 parts of this series so good was the knowledge that something was driving Nathan. Something was making him into the cold, controlling and slightly sadistic asshole that he was. Well in this installment of The Dumont Diaries, we find out what that reason is and I am not buying it.

“I got the memo, Nathan,” I interrupt him crossly. “You don’t love me. Aren’t going to love me. I hear it loud and clear. A fucking cuddle session isn’t going to change that.”

Also, the moment his “secret” is out, his personality shifts drastically. All of the sudden he is having a conversation with Candy. He is speaking to her as he would an equal. Based on how he was treating her in the past, it should have taken a lot more than shared knowledge for him to suddenly see her as something more than a blow-up doll.

I have not read the version of The Dumont Diaries that have all four parts combined into one book. I am wondering if there is more content added to smooth the transition from one part to the next. In the installment version, it feels like way too much happened between each part that we do not read about.

Not as enjoyable as the first two. We find out what Nathan's motivations are. Drew's still being treated like dirt and my respect for Candy plummeted.

Whoooooooopieeeeee! And this mini series gets even better as I moved along! With this unconventional love triangle going on...Ethan...Candace / Jenny...Drew? Everything sizzles! Me . Love. It. Much!

I promise a longer review at the end of this wonderful series! ( which is a book away?! ) But right now? I'll be ...humming....sashaying my way towards ...either the yummy Ethan or the forbidden Drew?! Hoping the final book will make it easier for me to choose! ....Or maybe not?!

I forged on reading after that (awful) last part, and I was adequately rewarded! Off to the final part of the series.

Oh my god I was terrified when I first read the very first page! Ok a maybe spoiler alert....don't read any further. I hated Nathan in book 2 and now I love him and while I know Drew is a good guy I'm routing for Nathan and Candace. I'm so glad to see the real Nathan in this book. Somewhere along the way I realized I finally let out a breath I didn't know I was holding! Loving this whole series!
