This is the first of the Temperance Brennan series I read. I enjoyed how the characters and story were crafted. Now and then I did feel annoyance at certain actions of Brennan, and how specific facts kept being repeated.  Overall, it was a pleasant read, and I will be picking up more books from this series.

Devoured this one!

The plot was smooth and I couldn’t guess the connection between the murders until last minute. As in the last book I read from the saga, the forensic anthropology bits where interesting, correct and had me googling all the time :) (completely unnecessary if you wanna read it but don’t care about this, but exciting if you do)

I used to love Tempe Brennan books, but they are really formulaic at this point. Still enjoyable, I learn new things, but it doesn’t really compare to the first couple books
