So much better than The Hunger Games. I understand that Collins had to lay a foundation, but everything about this book is superior to the first. Loved it.

All is good and well in District 12. Katniss and Peeta made it out of the Hunger Games unscathed and are now set for life. But life isn't a fairy tale when you have a target on your back from President Snow. Now they'll pay, by being put into the Quarter Quell, a Hunger Games with past victors as contestants. Catching Fire is probably my favorite Hunger Games novel, introducing beloved characters such as Joanna and Finnick. Also, the rise of the rebellion really plays into it. This book really grips you. I especially love Peeta's and Haymitch's character growth. They really have a lot bigger part to play.

My favorite of the books, by far. We were introduced to a wonderful new set of characters, and there was a lot of fun subterfuge to read about. A page-turner. I'm sad it's over.

i find the pacing of this book compared to the movie very interesting, but i liked the difference between this and the first book of how much of the book is taken up being in the arena. the cliffhanger ending was effective and i really enjoyed the additional characterization of more than just peeta and katniss. i think this one is my fav of the three? idk
