Phoebe’s true best form of comedy is the written word. Honestly if you just want to read/listen to someone talk about how absurd life is with levity. If you’re a woman in your 30s and especially a POC woman, you gotta give it a try.
Graphic: Cursing and Racism
Moderate: Misogyny, Excrement, Vomit, and Police brutality
Minor: Body shaming, Mental illness, and Cultural appropriation

I really enjoyed listening to Phoebe Robinson read her collections of essays. The audiobook is the best way to read this book because it's better to hear her narration style and word play (hashtag priz). I laughed at her pop culture references and reflected on Covid-19 times along with her. It's important to read perspectives outside of our own. Her essay on white saviorism is the highlight of the book for me. This is my first book by her and I would love to read her previous books.
