Well at first i didn’t think i was going to like this book but boy was i wrong. I love it so much and enjoyed Thane and Layla’s bickering it was the funniest thing and made you fall for there characters even more. The betray gutted me but i seen it coming. I can’t wait for the next book!

It took me a bit to get into this, but I think it's because it was setting up things. Once I got into it, though, it was really good. The ending was kind of crazy and the banter gets really good after the 50% mark. This is an enemies to lovers, arranged marriage, fantasy romance. You have elves and magic and humans, tensions between kingdoms. All sorts of fun. I'm intrigued where the next one is going.

It took me a bit to get into this one but the last half of the book was amazing. I loved the dark broody prince aspect, the rejected mates/arranged marriage, and slow burn that bow before the elf queen contained. Aspects of dark magic, witty banter, and an immersive setting were also great. I listened on audio so I can’t comment on grammatical errors but the audio was fun and I’m happy I stopped putting this one off. I’ll definitely continue the series!

This book did not grab me the way I was hoping. I found myself largely annoyed with the main characters. I also listened to the audio version and did not enjoy the narration.
