Wow! I hadn’t heard of this writer before, this author definitely has a new fan. There was so much I enjoyed about this book. No spoilers!

Austin has sleep paralysis, and the nightmares that go with that. He’s not entirely sure they aren’t real. Luckily he also has some pretty good friends, and I really liked the way the friendships are written. They banter, they’re a little crude at times (teenage boys!) but they’re there for each other.

If I made that sound like a coming of age thing, don’t be mislead! This grips hard and doesn’t let go. I’m well used to horror, but this...this I didn’t want to read at night! I called it Barker-esque because it had a certain feel in parts, but I so don’t want to give spoilers. All I can say is, it was inventive and brilliant and please can I have the next part now?
