I was so excited to grab my hands on this when I saw it at comic con, not long after I had finished the first three volumes! The art just keeps getting stunningly better, it's so beautiful- both scenery (the mosque and sunset roof landscapes!) and characters. Absolutely love everything about this series and the author/artist is always so lovely to meet 🥰
I loved Sam and Musa growing closer, mutual bonding over wanting to shout at family members (curious to know more of Sam's family past) and hating rich, royal and political events. Like Musa said, if only they'd met when they were kids they would have been able to avoid everyone together.
I still don't know how I feel about Aria, they're still looking beautiful as ever but I feel distrust with their character... however, seeing Aria and Sam at the end after the course of events I feel like I finally *saw* Aria and kinda like them a bit more, felt more genuine than suspicious.
Zach and Zhen went on quite the journey this volume. Zach being stuck between a job he doesn't like and has kinda trapped him and Cid being a sleazy bastard and had obviously had interactions with Zach that have left him uncomfortable around the guy. Eugh. I'm so glad his friends stepped up to show support, that he can rely on them while he finds his feet somewhere else, explore his options. I hated how Zhen got so angry that he thought he meant nothing to Zach because he wanted to stop his job, let alone because he's friends with Musa. But I'm glad Ju talked him round, made him realise how his attitude affects everyone around him (his work, friends and Zach). It's great seeing him accept his anger isn't fair on others and makes his reactions selfish. I'm glad he was able to reconnect with Zach. I mean, stop it- THEY'RE SO CUTE TOGETHER 🥹. The warm feeling I got when Zhen showed he was gonna come and find Zach! Oh man! Their blushes were cute- I hope they have the biggest hug when they meet.
Last note for the lols- Harshul and Zach cracked me up keeping their sex hotline work secret from Musa 😂. And what was Miriam hinting at Sam? The power to change things??
