This is a novel about a mother who carries a child for her infertile daughter. I thought it took the issue in hand very well, it dealt with it in an honest way. I would have liked to have been privy to the daughter's feelings more though, it was a little one sided. What let it down for me was that the subplots were a little chick-lit-ish, & the book would have been a far more intriguing read if it had focused less on that side of things & more on the mother/daughter issues & the issues of carrying a child which is not yours to keep. More middle-of-the-road than I was hoping for, I suppose.
