Clementine, Clem, was attacked and now suffers amnesia. She can't remember her previous life. In trying to put it back together, she visits the tattoo parlor where she got her tattoo. She doesn't know that the tattoo artist is her former boyfriend, with whom she bought a condo and then disastrously broke up with. Ed wants to have nothing to do with her. But when it's possible that someone is actually after her--that her attack wasn't random--he moves her back in with him to keep her safe. Clem is different than she was before her attack and she doesn't know Ed, so they have to get to know each other all over again. Will they fall in love again the second time around? Will they overcome the problems they had the first time? And is someone really after Clem? If so, who?

***

I would have stayed up all night reading this if I could have--I loved it that much. There's lots of angst and lots of heartache. But the good is so sweet. A beautiful second-chance love story with a twist, plus a mystery and suspense.

in true amnesia trope fashion, i just finished this but i've already forgotten more than half of what happened in this book.

i do have to say i enjoyed it, though. i liked reading through clem's perspective. she's quirky in a funny way and it was fun.

Note: The audiobook was provided by the publisher.

The combination of Kylie Scott's unexpected love story and Andi Arndt's spot-on narration was promising and this audiobook was a promise kept. Allow me to reiterate: there's more to this story than it being a second-chance romance. There's a mystery here courtesy of Clem's attack, but I won't get into it here because, hello, spoiler city. That part aside, I was fascinated about how there seemed to be two Clems: the one before the attack, and the one after. Like with everything else in life, you take the good with the bad, and neither version of Clem was perfect. She was very clearly different, and even Ed was, at times, taken aback at the change in this woman he loved and hated.

Speaking of Ed, I found it intriguing as well that in as much as he held a lot of anger towards Clem, he got to know this new version of her. I swear, the guy was refreshingly real but he was also clearly torn when it came to his feelings for his ex. He loved Clem from before, and obviously, he was falling for the new Clem. There were times that she almost seemed detached, but the more the story went on, it was as if parts of the old and new were merging together, and she was becoming more comfortable in her own skin. With writing as strong as Kylie Scott's and Andi Arndt's fab narration of all things Clem and Ed, Repeat was everything I didn't know I needed. Five stars. ♥

I'm afraid I guessed the villain right off.

This was a bit rough. She doesn't remember anything about her life prior to a violent attack. She just went through a bad breakup and he ends up helping to guide her back. He was hard to get a read on. He hated her and then couldn't live without her pretty quick.

This story had me swooning. It had my heart breaking. It had me laughing and it had me on the edge of my seat in suspense and enjoying the chemistry between the characters. It was so unique and captivating and it is one of my favorite tropes with second chances. I can't wait to have this story on Repeat.

Could NOT put this down, up until 3 am reading!!!

What an amazing story of second chances, when the first go round was not even remembered! Amnesia is a wicked thing, wipes out who you are, your personality, who you loved, everything you lived, just gone, like that!

When thrown into a situation that makes feelings come to life, is it real, is it new, what is it? Such an amazing story! Especially when you find out who done it, OMG!!!
