I didn't really expect to like this book, but I needed something short and mindless to get me through until my next library hold came in. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! Bitten tells the story of Elena, the only female werewolf, and her return to her pack. I would have liked more backstory but from my google searches, I see that the things I'm still wondering about are explained in later books/novellas. I do think the book would have benefitted from explaining Clay's motivations for
Spoiler turning Elena in the first place.
. I had a hard time warming to him and his character because of that. It just seemed selfish and kind of gross! Overall, an easy read and I will pick up the next in the series!

This was a re-read for me and I love picking up things that I didn't see before.

I think this is one of those wrong place.... or more correctly wrong time situations. Armstrong's debut novel is now 24 years old and I suspect I would've liked it much better had I read it in the 20-oughts or -teens. As it is now, the FMC really got on my nerves. I'm not a big fan of cheating and she cheated on her bf without much of a thought. She came across as an airhead and not at all likeable. I won't be continuing the series, but I'm happy to read Armstrong's more recent works.
