I remember reading this when I was a lot younger. It definitely freaked me out and I absolutely loved it!

I loved this edition of Poe stories, especially „The Tell-Tale Heart“ and „The Fall of the House if Usher“ were super readable and the illustrations are amazing. However, in particular „The Gold-Bug“ is quite problematic in its treatment of slavery. It left me fuming at times but if you can view it as a product of its time, it’ll still be an interesting read. Or just skip that story. Also a very valid tactic.
