It took me a little while to get into this one, and I'd probably really give it 3.5 stars, but I liked it better as it went along. It was interesting to read about Offerman's theater education at the U of I and his career development in Chicago and L.A. It was sweet to read about how much he loves and admires his wife, Megan Mullally, and about his admiration of other stars he knows well. While he gives accolades to many individuals, he also critiques the commercial aspects of casting and production in L.A. This was a pretty quick, enjoyable read.

It appears some Nick Offerman is really annoyed with certain Ron Swanson fans, so he wrote a whole book to piss them off. I agree with his politics and points, but tirades and being preached at is annoying. Also, other people's sex lives are boring. There is not a person in the world who I would care to hear about their sex life at 15. I'm not sure if Offerman is trying to make certain readers squeamish or if he's bragging, but my god did I not care about what he was saying.

No enough Parks and Rec discussed, but it wasn’t bad. A good origin story you might say.

It was an easy read, but nothing of substance. Half the book is life lessons and the other half is him talking about something he’s grateful for, came off a bit too preachy for me.
