I cannot fault Ryan Holiday.
Expertly written, bleeding with knowledge and wisdom. There’s a reason why he’s been talked up and endorsed by the likes of Cal Newport and Mark Manson.
His texts should be prescribed and required readings for all adults, struggling or not.

Hands down, this is my favourite philosophy audiobook in Holiday’s Stoic Virtues series.

Easily a must read!

Happy reading, everybody!

I have read or listened to most of Ryan Holiday's books. Most are based on Stoicism and its teachings and this one is no exception. The audiobook is composed of chapters 10-12 minutes long, which were perfect for my "commute". This book has so much wisdom packed in that I'll have to read/listen to it a couple more times to fully internalize all of them. Definitely recommend.

Dnf.

Currently I'm on a Stoic journey, reading every books that is about Stoicism. But this one came a bit empty handed, your typical self-help structure. I don't need that. There were some interesting parts but overall the author's words were more like a half empty glass of water than a half full one.

Will try to read Ego is The Enemy and The Obstacle is The Way instead of this.
