Not a bad crime procedural type novel, with enough depth to feel original. Cat was a likable main character but not so much that I feel like jumping ahead to the next book in the series immediately.

This is a great police procedural with a surprising ending.

Slow at first, but certainly hooks you in. Sweet Little Lies keeps you guessing in the best possible ways. The character grows and matures as she accepts her role in the mystery and especially her father's.

20% in ... I'm having such a hard time getting into this. Story isn't grabbing me. One of the VERY English books with mysterious stuff/food/references. I can usually gloss over those. I'm putting this aside. Not sure I'll finish it.

Nope, didn't.

Really loved this mystery! The main character is definitely one I fell in love with very quickly and the suspense will keep you reading and reading. I love that this isn't just a cut and dry mystery, there are so many players in the game!

Don’t know if it’s the book’s fault. Just not the right book at the right time. And pretty much hated everyone.

A slow progression of a murder and criminal trail. The plot was okay, but hard to get fully involved due it being a bit slow.

This book was a fun, tight police thriller that I enjoyed very much. It took me a while to get invested in the overall mystery and track each of the characters (there are a lot of them), but i thought the characters were interesting, the plot moved quickly, the mystery itself was satisfying and believable. I liked the character of Cat Kinsella, a detective investigating the disappearance and murder of a young woman who her father may have been involved with over the years.

Reading this book was like trudging along in a snow storm. I had already started to read it and I so wanted to love it, I hoped it would get better.... But the prose was so uninspiring and offered nothing that kept me wanting to turn the pages. I did finally finish. The twists were very well thought up, very original, but still not written with much finesse.
