I really loved this! I havenāt read anything from this author before, but when I heard age gap, and romantic suspense? I was sold,
I didnāt really know how the fake marriage would come into play, because I went fully blind into this! Just knowing a few tropes, and I was so pleasantly surprised,
They need to go undercover together, and the best plan is to have them pose as a married coupleā¦what once was the man who was a bodyguard for her family, and is her fathers friend, who she hasnāt seen in years,
Is now supposed to be her fake husband for however long this case lasts.
I really loved the suspense added into this, is gave that extra layer of something into the story that had you wanting to flip pages to know what occurs next.
The tension between the two was EVERYTHING!! The whole āthey have to kiss because thatās what a married couple doesā but they both know the chemistry is truly theirā¦but they ācanāt feel anything for one another since this is her fathers friendā was SO SO GOOD!!
I had a blast reading it, and even though I was a bit busy, and couldnāt demolish it in the sitting I wanted to, I was still able to truly get invested into the story!!
I definitely recommend you guys pick this up, I absolutely enjoyed it and so so thankful I was provided and early copy to read!!
