Queen Takes Rose was hot, loved the sex scenes. Roberts is very good at describing steamy, kinky lesbian sex. It teased at an interesting wider universe that I am mildly compelled to check out. And I was mostly able to suspend my disbelief at the more outlandish aspects of the book (a stonecold bitch like Malone falling in love in ten days? okay, sure).

That said, the conflict was weak at some points and strange at others. And the ending definitely felt quite rushed - Aurora dealt with her shit FAST.

I really liked this one.

I enjoyed seeing Malone and Aurora figure out their feelings for each other. Especially Aurora finding she can't follow through on her revenge plans for Malone as she's developed feelings for Malone after spending time with her and getting to know Malone better.

I actually ended up enjoying this book more than I thought I would. I was thinking I wouldn't like Malone very much, but I loved her as a character. Yes she is very icy on the outside but it's when you look deeper that you see Malone for what she is outside of the persona she shows people.

Pro-tip: Do not binge the series, all books are good, but repetitive and need time in between!

Throughout the Wicked Villains series I have loved Aurora’s character, she is arguably the most diverse out of the cast, which is why I suppose her story disappointed me. I felt as though there was so much build-up to her relationship with Malone that this last book just didn’t hold up to.
