I hate reviewing a book when I don't like it, but I guess I've got to be honest. I didn't like this story - or the storytelling - at all. It was all tell, no show. It was like the author made an outline and then filled in a few nouns and verbs. No character development and very little plot development....nothing surprising or disconcerting, and no reason to read through until the end. Yuck.

Didn't find it interesting. Didn't like the narrator. (Didn't like him in general, but also the french accent of one of the characters sounded more german than french).
The main character seems dumb and gullible, the other characters are flat, the plot isn't particularly interesting, the dialogue seems forced. And I don't care about whether any of the sides will reach their goals. Whatever.
Also: unlikeable/untolerable characters are fat? Fatness is used as a bad character trait? But the very pretty love interest of the hero takes small bites and is cute when she eats? Then it starts to rain, and it's pointed out that she's not wearing a bra. Ok. I don't have patience for this.
