Was not my favorite holiday book. Liked the idea for the storyline but didn’t love the execution or writing style. Just wasn’t for me personally!

cozy, hilarious and sweet. read this if you are also obsessed with the English village and Rosehill Cottage in “The Holiday”

Easy story to read but too many characters, especially at the beginning. It’s a Christmas book but it wasn’t terrible to read in January as it had a winter theme.

I absolutely enjoyed listening to this one. It’s set in a small countryside English town and it has all the cozy details that I adore.

Kate has decided that she now needs to find “the one” and agrees by signing up for the 12 dates of Christmas through the dating agency where her best friend, Laura works. What could go wrong? Her best friend Matt has a lot of opinions of her dates. The town also ends up enjoying the gossip of the dates! But maybe what shes looking for is right in front of her.

I listened to this when my kids were sick so I can truthfully tell you that I wanted something hallmarky, hopeful and cheery. This book fit the bill. I tuned out when things got too detailed (felt a bit unnecessary) but was still able to follow the story. My opinion is that audiobook is the way to go with this one.

I can never rate a Christmas book lower than 3 stars. I thought this story was cute. Think the bachelor but online dating and speed dating all in one for the holidays! And obviously…. The typical romance tropes of best friends to lovers!! Merry Christmas season yall!

Cute but predictable. Loved the “I don’t really need a man, I’m willing to go it alone but I kinda want one” and the “I’ll date whoever I want and won’t be shamed for it” attitudes.

I surprisingly, was not here for the MMC, he was a jerk most of the time, did not grovel hard enough at the end and honestly, she had more chemistry with Drew (who was *spoiler alert* gay).

So boring and miserable to read. Almost DNFed

it's annoying how obvious the ending was from the start. Like why even bother with the twelve dates if they never really stood up a chance. Too sickly sweet.

Predictable, long chapters, two characters had very similar names that I kept messing up, and the ending wrapped up way too quickly and unrealistically considering how the rest of the book went.
