Un gotico pretenzioso e ridondante. Scrittura pomposa e prolissa, subordinate a profusione, sempre alla ricerca della frase ad effetto e della metafora ad ogni costo. Capitoli sconnessi, salti temporali, ragazzine irritanti. NO.

Objectively, this is an extremely well-written book that I couldn’t put down. It was disturbing, creepy and I loved the way each chapter was told in the voice of different characters in different styles. It doesn’t end well, it doesn’t exact justice and it doesn’t show clear good and evil. But knowing that the villains are also the victims.. and the way the author weaves the story together.. it’s very well done even though it wasn’t necessarily my favorite.

I think this book is too smart for where I’m at right now - would love to revisit someday
