A solid domestic thriller with a twist.

To get the “bad” out of the way with first: I wasn’t really bought in/ hooked until about 25% in and I wish that the “twist” would have been bigger. When it finally came I was like “oh… okay, was that it?” I sort of kept waiting for some more shocking reveal as I kept reading.
The good was that this was a fairly compelling story about family and uncovering the truth, no matter the cost.
The concept is interesting - a woman witnesses a crime committed by a member of her family and gets stuck in a time loop, traveling back in time to understand why it happened in hopes of preventing it in the future. The plot being unique kept me intrigued and the last 50% sped by. It was a fast and fun read.
Not a super scary “keep you up at night” thriller, but a bit more of a psychological suspense.

I was pleasantly surprised at how enthralling this book was. There were plot twists, grey areas of the good and bad guys, and I appreciated the medium-fast pace. I thought I was going to be confused by the the main character Jen, going backwards to try and solve the puzzle and save her son from his crime, but I wasn’t! I rooted for Jen, Kelly and Todd, because they were a family who loved one another and the author did a great job in making the characters loveable. Would recommend this book!

I liked that the plot twists were things you could guess based on most of the clues you had. But at least in my case, they were clues you were unlikely to figure out exactly how they came together. The humour was great and so were the characters.

Honestly though I disliked how in the end she lost all her memory it was a bit cliche. And also her friend going through the time travelling thing in the last page I thought was a really weird choice personally.
