"Korkulacak şey kötülük değil. Zaman. Çünkü onu yenebilecek kimse yok."

Kısa ve etkileyici bir kitaptı. Güney Kore edebiyatına çok aşina değilim. Farklı bir okuma deneyimi oldu benim için. Çeviriyi çok beğendim. (Orjinaliyle karşılaştırma şansım yok tabi ki ama su gibi aktığını söyleyebilirim)

70 yaşına gelmiş ve Alzheimer hastalığına yakalanmış eski bir seri katilin kafasında gezinmek ilginçti. Neyin gerçek neyin rahatsızlığının verdiği çarpıtılmış anılar olduğunu anlayamıyorsunuz. Ve tuhaf bir şekilde bu yaşlı adamla empati kuruyor ve onun için üzülüyorsunuz.

"insanlar ‘kötü’yü anlamak ister. Beyhude bir istektir. Kötülük gökkuşağı gibidir. Ne kadar yaklaşırsan o kadar uzaklaşır. Kötü anlaşılmadığı için kötüdür ya zaten!"

TBH didn’t really have much interest past the diary of a murderer story. The other 3 short stories kinda didn’t compare to the amount of thought that went into the first.
Reading a diary from a dementia ridden man who happened to be a serial killer in his past, yea please!!
You really can’t trust the narrator and that takes you down a weird road of distrust and empathy. His take on loss and death are stark but needed for this story.
Again only a 4 because of the first story!

DNF the last part of the story. But my favourite story would be Diary of a Murderer, the plot twist was unexpected and the 3rd story called the Missing Child.
