Як і попередній роман "Жарт", "Життя деінде" - жахливий пам'ятник епосі, до якого я б радила навідуватися вестернерам, в яких не було щастя жити за соціалістичного терору. Я ж тут, пробачте за пафос, відчувала себе скривавленим Ісусом з мему, якому Мел Гібсон навалює за життя. Мене не дуже захопив сюжет та персонажі, що відзеркалюють травмовані покоління. Дуже дратувала епізодична, але нерідка дроч на велику руську культуру.

Interesting plot. I was a fan of as well as Jaromil’s arc of evil. Classic Oedipal read. Very well written, and the emotion sneaks up on you subtly.
