Pissed me off in the end, but it was a good read. It was just like a Law and Order episode.

Very good! I needed a good thriller novel. It’s been awhile since I’ve read one. This book was solid. Quick, easy read. I love crime/mystery novels where it keeps you guessing & you share the point of view of the cops, investigators, etc. I like not knowing & trying to figure it out like they do.
When two young girls go missing from a shopping center parking lot, private investigator Alice Vega is hired to find them. She recruits ex-cop turned PI to help her. I love Vega’s character a lot. High tolerance for pain, little tolerance for bullshit. There are a lot of players in this & it’s quite the hunt, but it was unique & good! The end of the chapters always kept me on my toes & wanting more!

Straight-forward missing-female procedural except with private investigators instead of police. Decent characters. Readers who like crime thrillers will like this.

It was OK. The plot was good but Alice Vega was hard to like or believe. I had a bit of a hard time buying into her as functional enough to pull it off. I also found her unlikable. The story itself was good and as this is the first book I might give the next one a chance to see if it gets better.
