The Warden gave the vibes that I wanted from this entire series. The other two stories were eh. I liked learning about the characters but that was it.

Added nothing to the already established novels. All 3 stories had plots that finally became intriguing only for it to end abruptly. I would've loved to know more about the Scarlets and Bone Artists and how both groups came into play at Brookline. Pointless novellas in my opinion.

I give each novella a 2.75 rating because honestly, they didn't really add anything to the main trilogy + prequel.

Each novella barely covered any aspect of the title's namesakes, which left me annoyed because I actually wanted to know more about Warden Crawford, the Scarlets, and the Bone Artists.

Instead you get POVs from the side characters of the trilogy and vague references to the title namesakes.

Did I like getting a few insights into those side characters? Sure, and that's why I even rated this close to 3.0 stars. But they didn't add anything to the overall series. I could have lived without reading these and that's why I'm so disappointed.
