As a fan of both Supernatural and Edgar Allan Poe, I was so excited for this book and I have never been more disappointed in a book. The author clearly does not know the characters of Sam and Dean. He made Dean seem like an absolute idiot and Sam seem like a self-centered jerk. Not to mention he doesn't even seem to know what Dean looks like as he certainly doesn't have blue eyes and he isn't short. He spent way too much of the book describing places in NYC, songs, musicians, and even coffee and coffee cups. Also spent a lot of time giving backgrounds on characters we didn't need to know about and not enough time developing characters we did need to know. There were points in the book where I wasn't even sure whose pov, I was reading until at least a page into it and then the ending just made absolutely no sense. Also I'm not sure this book was even edited as I found a bunch of mistakes, like he mentioned agoraphobia while talking about a fear of heights. The fear of heights is acrophobia. There is so much more I was disappointed in with this book but the bottom line is that if you love Supernatural, do yourself a favor and skip this book
