I give this book more like 3.5 stars but it was a cute and funny quick read. This book was read for book club and it was a good read for that purpose. The main character got on my nerves but overall she is likeable. I see this book moreike pg14 read in the realm of erotica, like a gateway read. The sex scenes were diplicted well but I felt like I enjoyed the quick wit and humor of the book more than the sex scenes or even the story line.

A salacious romantic comedy that, though not to my personal taste, is of a type very much in demand. It's word-of-mouth popularity isn't surprising, nor is its exasperatingly regular mention on a book recommendation podcast.
Readers looking for blunt, modern sensibilities, intense sexual tension, broad (nearly slapstick) humor -- both situational and via internal dialogue, and high volume of steam will be thrilled to have discovered this author.
The writing is immature, both in structure and in craft, but fans won't care. The fun factor for many will easily overshadow the flaws.

I was hoping for light-hearted rom-com fun to read in the sun, but I gave up half-way.
There are some funny moments but I found it all a bit predictable.
Just not my cup-of-tea.

With fanfiction books it usually means not the best writing but it also usually means a good and intresting story that you cant stop reading. This book had not the best writing and a story I had to skim the second half in order to finish.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to romance novels since they aren't really my thing but the blurb for this book was quite promising. Alice Clayton writes with an unending tension, crafting real people instead of cardboard characters. In my, admittedly limited, experience with romance novels, one heroine can be swapped for another without a whole lot of fuss. Much the same can be said for romantic leads, but Wallbannger was a pleasure to read.
If you're looking for something to get you hot and bothered on page 2, I wouldn't recommend this book, since it's sexy scenes are few and far between. The focus is less on gratuitous smut (though that's not always a bad thing), and more about a budding relationship. It was an honest to god, romance. Well worth the read.

I couldn't put this down. It made me giggle at times so good thing I was reading this at home or else I probably would have gotten funny looks.
I can't wait to read the next book.

Wallbanger was fun and exactly the kind of lighthearted and entertaining book I was in need of. I really liked Caroline as a main character, and I loved Simon as her love interest. They were both very likeable in my opinion. I probably won't follow through with this series though, because I liked this as a stand along just fine. If you're looking for a light, fun, romantic, and feel-good read, you'll probably like Wallbanger. Also, this book made me like cats more. Clive, Caroline's cat, was such a cute sidekick.
