This book is the more "timid" one in the series. The couple is cute and all but they can't keep up with the previous or the next one, steamy wise. It was a fun story though because the characters were nice.

I recived an Arc via BookSirens and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Out of all three currently released book (1-3), this one was pretty mild. It wasn’t as spicy as the first two and it had more erotic elements in the letters Nathaniel exchanged with Marianna than in the actual story.

So yeah, I requested the book because I loved the heat the previous books had but this one didn’t have it enough.

It was still a pleasant read, though. I liked it. 4 stars.

*** Book Q & A***

* How did the book make you feel?: I enjoyed this quick read.

* How do you feel about how the story was told?: It was very brief and there was instalove. I would’ve liked a longer book.

* What did you think about the main characters?: I enjoyed that both characters were academics. It was interesting that the h had a photographic memory. The MC’s had a lot of chemistry, but it was definitely instalove. I would’ve loved a little more angst and push-pull.

* Which parts of the book stood out to you?: I loved the H’s lurid letters.

* What themes/tropes did you detect in the story?: Instalove, sexual awakening

* What did you think about the ending?: The epilogue was sweet.

* What is your impression of the author?: This author is very talented. This was my first experience with this author and I would read more.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
