I don’t know which avoidant attached person hurt these authors so badly but they’ve clearly never recovered.
But seriously, incredibly out of date. Which is fair, given that it was published more than a dozen years ago. It might be useful if you’ve never heard even a basic explanation of attachment styles but otherwise, skip it. It doesn’t include information about disorganized attachment. It has little to no context for the ways in which trauma can affect attachment styles. And it has absolutely zero compassion or understanding for people with avoidant attachment. It’s clearly written from the lens of an anxious style and that makes it a pretty hard read for anyone else.

Your relationships are not magically fixed after reading this book and i wished there would be more advice what you actually could do if you face a hard time during a relationship but it is a very nice read to learn about yourself and your behavior patterns (bad and good ones).
