My only disappointment with this book is that I must wait for her to publish the next one.

I love these books. This was by far the darkest Ave creepiest. I am starting to notice some inconsistencies in the novels, but still enjoy them.

Lovely writing as always, but I do miss this series being cozy. It used to be light with gorgeous descriptions of cafes and bookstores and brunch, and now it's sexual assault, characters constantly in peril, constant death, and depression.

And this one was a little dull - it spent 90% of the book trying to figure out which sibling in a family was the Bad One. It felt like every page asked that question. And then there was a side plot with a grimoire? And a hidden room and a serial killer? There was somehow a whole lot and not enough.
