Five freaking stars! Such an astonishing read! I can't express how much I loved The Dugout. Milly and Carsen had me laughing and crying! Meagan you are a genius!

Once again Meghan Quinn has hit it out of the park with this amazing book.
I thought Knox was amazing and trust me he was but Carson? Holy cheese-us they both are up there and they are on serious even ground. Both top amazing books.
Carson and Milly's story was bloody brilliant, i seriously couldn't get enough.
Milly i bloody loved her, she was awkward and funny and so down to earth, the things she did and said i could relate to so much.
Carson, seriously where do i begin?! He was everything. He was so sweet and had such a big heart. He had a rough time but then when he meets Milly she's everything he didn't know he needed in his life.
Seriously this book? Needs to be read. Along with Knox's book. Both books are out of this world and so worth it.

The Dugout by Meghan Quinn has all the feels! I’m not a huge lover of sports romances but with this story, I laughed, cried, swooned and got angry...and then started all over again! Carson and Milly’s story was one of fun, flirty banter and sexy chemistry that just sparked off the pages. I enjoyed seeing Milly’s family in this book and I think it brought a lot to her character. I enjoyed Carson and how determined and caring he truly was. The ONLY issue I have is that I loved Milly at the beginning of the story, awkward and shy which I think was so out of the norm. By mid-story, in my mind, she had totally changed into a different person and I didn’t really love who she became. Overall though, I did enjoy the journey of Carson and Milly and cannot wait to see what is next!

Just as good as the first novel!!! Can not wait to see more from Meghan Quinn. These books are just really fun but also realistic college reads.

Second read:

I absolutely loved Milly and Carson’s story. Such a great read! It was so natural and quirky and full of emotion and I really really enjoyed it. Love the baseball romances for summer!

Beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time. Such a great read!

It was easy to fall for Carson Stone when he was the Hero’s buddy in The Locker Room, so when the prolouge starts in The Dugout and he isn’t in a good place, my heart sank. Carson is a hero that had a lot of great things come to him, but he also worked really hard to get those things and had to endure some rough times. He was such a good contemporary romance Hero.

I loved Milly Potter. She was the best shy girl, breaking out of her shell to get what she wants. I loved her baseball confidence and how much Carson respected that. Carson falling for Milly was so sweet, gooey, perfect. I loved him. I loved them.

Family was a pretty consistent theme in the book. This lead to both good and bad times, and both really pulled at the heartstrings. I loved that the family ties were not only the ones they were born into but also the ones they choose.

I think this book made me re-fall in love with baseball. It’s amazing the connection Meghan can make to the sport. This book really focused on the game, it’s development, it’s coaching, the processes, the connections. To have a relationship between a couple be built on that love of a sport was pretty cool stuff.

I love how Meghan really makes her couples work for their HEA, but dang does she hurt you in the process. Wow, this one was rough, but really beautiful. It was easy to understand why Carson responded the way he did at that dreaded mark of the book where everything went belly up, but that didn’t make it any easier to handle. It’s so hard to “watch” someone make all the wrong choices when they think it’s for the right reasons. The time, healing, forgiveness on multiple fronts, growth, and love were all needed to achieve the ending in the story. I feel a part book hungover and also completely whole at the end of this one! I really loved this story.

This is gonna be a short review again, just gonna let you know what I think without going into much detail.
THERE ARE GONNA BE SPOILERS ABOUT “THE LOOKER ROOM” TOO!

I rly enjoyed reading this book. Meghan Quinn has a way of writing which makes me love the main male character so much. He’s always such a sweet, understanding, supportive and amazing guy you wanna have as well. He has flaws too, I don’t wanna deny it, but the way she describes them or creates them is making me falling in love all the time. I’ve read the first book out of the row and I’ve to admit the guys are one of my fav book males. I love the girls too, but I’ve always been blown away by the guys. Meghan has such an awesome way to describe things and let me feel what the characters feel. Their relationship is so intense, you get caught up in the book and you don’t even realize how much you’ve read when you take a break. Also I love how other characters out of the first book showed up here too. It’s such a highlight, it takes their connection to another level. Seeing Knox again and experience his great personality again was overwhelming.
Also I felt the main female so much, her almost none exciting self confidence and her nervousness mirrored mine and i completely understand what she went through. I identified myself with her. Carson and Millys relationship was so deep, overwhelming and pure. I wanted to read more and more. It was beautiful and funny. I love books with a sense of humor. This book has it all. The relationship, friendships and the storyline was great. There were up and downs and there was pain, yeah the pain, I felt it. It was so raw. It split open my heart and tears happen fall during reading it.
So let’s get to the part why I didn’t give 5 stars. I would have given 5 stars until the end. I’ve to admit it’s the same problem I’ve with her first book in the row “the look room”. Both books were on their way to favorites books list until 80%. They’re book still special to me but I’m not a big fan of time jumps, i kinda enjoy a time jump about a few months with a good reason. I don’t mean they haven’t had a good reason, but these time jumps are just to big for my liking. The guy lost someone important and needed a year to get at least a bit better, which I totally understand after that lost! I don’t judge that at all. It’s just the way he got out of it and wanted her back but it took him again more like 1,5 years to talk to her again? I don’t know. All in all passed like 3 years. 3 years. It’s such a lot time and then the book ended so fast. I kinda felt rushed. Im just not a fan of big time jumps, but maybe you like it. All in all I loved reading this book and I don’t regret it at all. I’m so excited for her next book and I’m definitely gonna read it. Also this turned out to be a long review, sorry

I LOVED LOVED LOVED Carson, Milly and their story. If you thought Knox Gentry blew your socks off, wait until you meet Carson Stone.

The Dugout may be one of my favorite baseball romances. Carson is back after missing the draft due to an injury, but things just aren’t right with his swing. Enter Milly. She lives and breathes baseball. She always has. She knows how to help Carson, but will he listen to her?

Milly Potter. I have NEVER been more in love with a heroine. She isn’t like every other female. She is different, she is weird and she doesn’t mind hanging out with the guys. She is simple and super relatable. Milly is the kind of person I would want to be best friends with. She is sweet, hilarious ,smart and just pretty awesome. Carson Stone. I kind of expected him to be sort of a player and not super serious about anything but getting draft, which he was, but there was more to him. Carson had so many different layers and he was a pleasant surprise.

This story had everything. It had baseball, family, romance, swoon-worthy moments, laugh out loud moments, and moments where you wanted to knock some sense into Carson. I couldn’t put this down and loved every single thing about Carson and Milly’s story.
