It was so interesting to read Decker's experience of when Delaney fell through the ice and how the following six days flowed. The way Miranda writes this was gripping. Obviously we didn't get any of that in the original story because it focuses on things from Delaney's perspective but I am so glad this was written. It is clear Decker feels responsible and although there was a sense of this in Fracture, it is the focus of this story.
Definitely a must read if you read Fracture and special bonus - it was free via the facebook link listed on Goodreads.

A tie in to Miranda's debut novel, Fracture, Eleven Minutes details Decker's p.o.v. of Delaney's drowning, death, and his attempts to resuscitate her.
The title is something of a misnomer, as the story goes beyond the 11 minutes and into the six days Decker spends haunting her bedside at the hospital and right up to the moment that Delaney regains consciousness, although it leaves out what is later to be revealed as a key interaction Decker has during those days.
This novella is perhaps most instructive as an example of how an author can create distinct character voices and establish pacing through the use of literary devices. There is little or no new information provided to readers, and the key interaction is perhaps left out because readers may choose to jump to the novella and read it chronological order during their reading of Fracture.

Decker I love you!!!!! You've totally just made my boyfirnd list. I could feel his pain, his panic, his complete fear and sadness and also his overwhelming guilt. I had a problem with [b:Fracture|9548964|Fracture (Fracture, #1)|Megan Miranda|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1312225659s/9548964.jpg|14435417] but this short story was awesome. I wish the whole book would be from his point of view. I loved all 28 pages of it and wish it were longer. Loved it!!!!

This one is so good!! We can see how strong Decker's feeling for Delaney.
But because I read it after I read vengeance, I felt really annoyed. If he really did have that strong feeling for Decker, then why is he with Tara? Maybe it's just his way of coping or maybe I'm just really annoyed because I am me.

I know I say it often, but I'll say it once again... I love it when authors write a scene of a book from someone else's point of view. I started reading the book Fracture today and I was intrigued to find what Decker went through during that space of time and so I decided not to wait for the end of the book to come and read this and I'm glad I did because now I'm more into the story than before feeling like I have more elements to go on with the story.

After reading Fracture (which I gave five stars, it was awesome), I got my eyes on this exclusive Tie-In Story, 'Eleven Minutes'.
I think because I loved Fracture, I had very high hopes on this one too. I was hoping for some surprising moments, but honestly: we didn't get them.
Eleven Minutes was good, sure it was. But something was missing. I had the feeling while reading it, that I already knew what happened in the eleven minutes. There was nothing new.
What I liked the most of this little story, is the bonding between Delaney and Decker. I could really feel the love and the friendship.
So, definitely a good story, but not really addition.

I just love Decker! He is so emotional. His guilt just jumped off the pages of this as did his feelings for Delaney. Now I want to read a whole Decker-centric book. :-)
