I needed a fantasy break because I've been losing pace, and this was the perfect switch. It starts with two people plotting a murder, and I loved reading from inside the criminal's head. I was always listening for their next mistake or screw up that would end it all. I've been struggling to read, but I ate this book up, and Swanson definitely got me with some twists

Heard this is a really good thriller that helps you get into thrillers. I thought it was fine. Lily is interesting, but I felt her development felt rather shallow at points. Yes there are twists, and the first one was the most surprising. After that I kind of wanted the book to just… finish. Then the backtracking between POVs is probably what annoyed me the most, as it was an intentionally mysterious device to reveal plot twists. It’s good, wouldn’t call it great.

A wild cat & mouse story. Loved the multiple POVs and nods to Agatha Christie along with other famous mystery writers.

Really fast paced read; lost a whole day of housework to this one. Several twists throughout and a cliffhanger at the end that made me want to pick up the next book asap.

    A man drinking at an airport bar meets a woman and they talk about killing his wife, she agrees to help. But why would she help him? Who is she? And will they go through with it?
 
     While this is a twisty mystery thriller with multiple POVs, none of the main characters are particularly likable. And the men are quite misogynistic and obsessed with women and sex, it was like half the men's POVs were describing the woman's bodies sexually especially the breasts and how clothes fit them. I hope all men aren’t like these men on the inside! Even the women whose POVs you got weren't likable. Basically, all the MCs were trash human beings.
 
     I only gave a high-ish rating because the overall plot was good even if the characters while detailed and complex, were unlikable, and the book had an overall misogyny to it.

This whole book is a wild ride from beginning to end. The dialogue was a little clunky but the twists were things I never saw coming.
