This book was just okay for me.

My favorite parts of this book were the chapters on Lily's backstory as she was easily the most interesting character. I also appreciated that this book had a couple twists and turns I really didn't see coming.

The reason I didn't love this book is because basically all the characters are bad people in one way or another so it's hard to figure out who you're supposed to be rooting for. It gets to a point in which you keep reading, not because you're invested in the characters, but because you just want to know who is going to get away with what.

The book was fine. The writing was good. The characters weren't all stupid. I could see other people enjoying this book a lot more than I did - it just didn't click with me as much as I'd hoped it would.

Very fun read! Lots of twists I didn’t see coming , lots of interesting characterisation of Lily, that just kept getting deeper and deeper - as well as that of Monica. Never knew where it was going, or if I did, I was jerked in a different direction. Ending was 90% perfect, I was wondering how the real Issue would get confronted but I do enjoy how it wrapped up. Very fun read, lots of details about Lily that make you wonder about her as much as anyone in the book.

This is everyone's favorite Peter Swanson book. Since it's my third book by the author and the other ones didn't impress me that much, I had high hopes. But I guess Peter Swanson is just not for me.
I was surprised by one twist halfway through the book, didn't see that one coming at all. Two other twists were nicely done. But the rest? Very predictable, and therefore not very exciting.
I think my main issue was that I didn't care for the characters that much, especially Ted. His story line was way too boring, and it was hard for me to root for him. But it's not a bad book, and definitely not the worst one I read by this author. It just wasn't as good as people made me believe.

Everybody lied. I really went into this thinking it was going to be this amazing thriller, but I was honestly bored because nothing much happened. As for the plot twists there was like one and it was whatever. I’m literally so disappointed. It was still fine, I liked lily but I just thought this would be better.
