It was ok. I guess it was meant to be this cool , quirky book. A girl named "death" , who dresses in black and is blasé about the recent death of her entire family. The female lead who thinks she's death, roams around the city looking for a crazy woman's heart. The male lead is set on committing suicide, until he meets death and follows her around for the day. The end of the book has a P.S.A. about HIV and Aids which I didn't see coming. I know the character is supposed to be from another series of books , so maybe people that have read those one's would have enjoyed this more.

I haven't read this in more years than I care to admit, but I love it from afar. It feeds my inner goth. I will never read it again for fear of it not living up to my memory of it.

I didn't really feel too much towards this. Not that I hated it, I just didn't love it very much. Although I loved Death I just didn't feel like the plot was great and the main guy character was so annoying. I didn't care for him at all.
I also didn't understand the random sex ed at the end of the comic..
Useful information, I'm sure, just very random...

Pick it up, give it a go and enjoy.

I have to admit, I loved this spin-off so much more than the rest of the Sandman comics. Its not that it was better written - It's just that the character Death appeals to me so much more than sad, stuffy Dream. If I'm still alive the next time she's human for a day, I'd love to hang out with her. We could feed the pigeons and talk about Disney movies. Peachy keen!

I enjoyed this story and I am one of those people who wishes Gaiman had written more storylines with Death. It was a special treat to read the introduction by Tori Amos, who had not even released Under the Pink yet!

Death is fabulous every time she appears. Wonderful work as always from Neil Gaiman.

I first read this 20 years ago, and I didn't expect to enjoy this reread as much as I did. Death is my favourite and there's a reason my twitter avatar is still of her. It's a lovely, engrossing, kind story which managed to make me cry on the tube this morning.

I liked this much more than Death's other outing. This one had more of a sense of Death's character, her humour, insight and overall quirkiness. The artwork was vibrant and enjoyable too and I felt slightly more invested in the characters here than with Death: the time of your life. Overall, an enjoyable enough volume.
