I love Amy Tangerine. This was a fun little book with some food for thought. I didn’t follow the prompts throughout with this initial read, but I might explore them later.

I love Amy Tangerine and her brand so this was a fun read for me!! It was an interactive book with activities to grow. It also had gorgeous hand-lettered quotes the book felt like a work of art.

If you like making things, and you feel that creating art/craft/objects/whatever makes your heart at peace, then you will dig this book. It's really about carving out time for yourself and the things that make you feel happy, even if they are not the things that make you money or answer your responsibilities. "hobbies" sound unimportant. But they are very important. The mediation, the dedication, the devotion of art and craft is as important as religion, as physical sustenance, as doing laundry.
This book is about reminding you that your life's pursuits are important. It also tries to give you concrete ways to remind yourself.

I read a lot of self help/self discovery/productivity books and this has to be the cutest one I’ve read in a while. It is focused on honing in on creative practices that make your life awesome. I’ll be honest I didn’t know who Amy Tangerine was before I picked up the book but I watched a few of her youtube videos and she is like the crafter of my dreams. Okay not really but her craft room is life and I love it. Overall this was a fun twist on some other tips I’ve read. I really liked that there were journal tasks at the end of most of the chapters. I like when books like this give you actual action steps-that’s really handy. Overall I enjoyed this. 3.75 out 5 only because it’s not super spectacular but it does have really solid tips in it.
