So much happens in the finale of the trilogy. The war between Austria and Hungary starts in Ernest, with both Croatia, Romania, and Russia joining Austria. The prethian army hides in wait to take over the remaining world.
We start this book with Matyas being reunited with Anna, now both seek to rescue Noeme from the prethians. Matyas finally accepts his role as tante, Anna begins to learn what it truly means to be a chimera, and they are up against the biggest threat yet.

You’ll want some tissues for the end of this book. The only thing is that I feel a few characters were killed off unnecessarily, or just so quickly that the deaths seemed meaningless and just to progress the story. Of course the deaths are tragic, but it just feels that they were rushed and that the author didn’t really take enough time to make the readers feel it and be sad. The plot just moved right along, and the deaths didn’t really get the moment they deserved.
