I really wanted to like this book more, but could not stand Willow as a character, as well all her intimate moments with Leo didn't feel sexy as they felt more like consent was questionable. The plot points were also incredibly predicable. I also felt that Leo falling for Olivia could have been more thought out, as it felt more like she was a possession than someone he loved.

The intrigue from the beginning hooked me in, but this is yet another couple I don't ship at all. The toxicity train has left the station, and I'm watching it crash and burn in the distance. And yet, I'm still mildly curious as to how the story continues. What is wrong with me?

I don’t know what to think of this book other than Leo is a prick. Just a capitol asshole who made me literally livid the entire book— I really hoped that he would have some redeeming moments the would make me go “oh ok, his ice cold heart is cracking” but no. I even read book two to see if maybe THAT one would show a different side to him. He was an asshole and Willow was a weak ass woman who was too needy, and the fact she let him have sex with her after he threatened to literally go and have sex with his maid if she didn’t give in— I’m just mind boggled that these characters actually got a “HEA”. Also, the fact that Leo has constant inner dialogue of how her first marriage did a number on her and that she should see herself as beautiful but in the same moment he’s a complete and utter asshole on how she’s basically a baby maker and his revenge tool.
Absolutely just thrown at the fact it was whiplash upon whiplash of mental abuse and toxic situations that should have ended maybe with a complete change of character development and relationship growth. Winter, sorry to say honey but you just moved from one abusive relationship to another and the fact the author tried to pull the wool over our eyes to say it wasn’t is just disappointing.

A must read
Another amazing book by Nicole Fox. This hooked me from the very beginning and I couldn't put it down. Ends with a killer cliffhanger. Can't wait to see what happens with Leo and Willow.

Im a sucker for mafia romance, even more of a sucker for Bratva so I was pretty disappointed that this read was very similar to another book.
Minus the FMC being married it was way too close to another book.
I didn’t even finish reading bc of the whiplash of seemingly deja vu I was getting.
