Another absolutely gorgeous story by Kennedy Ryan. I absolutely love this and the Skyland series. I'm dying for the next book in this series, Score. Verity and Monk please! But anyway, this book made me love things I usually hate in a book - music/entertainment industry romance, narration switching between the present and the past and historical fiction. Dessi Blue's story was as compelling as Neevah and Canon's and I almost wish I could read a full novel about her.

Reel overall was a phenomenal book! I loved the screen writing that happened within the regular novel, and getting to juggle the two plot lines. What was really daunting for me was purely the size of the novel. It felt a bit intimidating to just pick it up. Once I started reading it went by pretty quickly, but the problem was wanting to pick it up in the first place. Apart from that, I absolutely fell in love with Canon! He was really doing it for me when it came to Neevah's recovery and refusing to leave her side. We love to see a devoted man!

The book was on my DNF list, but let me tell you..... I just love this book. It is for sure a re-read for me. I love the drama, the love, the forgiveness, all the around perfection this book gives. Neevah was a fighter. After feeling like she lost everyone she still came out on top. Her being the strongest thing he ever had but yet the most fragile was all it took for me. Canon is the best. The Desi Blue story was just chef kiss.
