This is a classic I never read as a kid so catching up now. Delightful and wholesome and fun. The full cast version on Audible has Catherine O'Hara as Marilla Cuthbert, and every time she's exasperated with Anne (which is a lot) I think of her sighing and rolling her eyes at David.

This was book #26 for Romanceopoly 2020.

Square: Beau Boulevard
Challenge Pack: Moon
Challenge: Read a YA novel considered a classic

When I set out to attempt the Romanceopoly challenge, I wanted to challenge myself to read books that I hadn't read before - totally new to me... however, this challenge presented an issue to that. I've read a lot in my life and I had problems finding a classic YA novel that I hadn't read - and of course, defining what "classic" meant to me. I even asked a ton of friends for their recommendations - and they apparently have the same tastes as I do when it comes to classic YA, heh. So, I decided to bend my own rules (not the challenge's, though) and revisit an old favorite: Anne of Green Gables. But I wasn't going to physically read it, I was going to listen to this 2016 recording on Audible. Totally new to me, right?
