I read it a few months ago and rated it 2 stars, but I just thought of it randomly again and it made me really annoyed so I came back to moved it down to 1 star.

I didn't find these characters interesting or relatable and didn't really care what happened to them in the end. I think I found it hard to keep going because I don't think cheating should be tolerated at all and there was just so much resentment between them.

The whole book has the husband complaining about finding out that the wife has been cheating on him and then right near the end he spills the bean and says he's been cheating too?! What an asshole! He was being such a hypocrite and making the wife feel bad (rightly so) and then when he revealed that he had been cheating the wife was furious and stormed out (rightly so) but she had also been cheating?

They were both as bad as each other and terrible people. Was not an enjoyable read at all.

Others are right. This book is shallow. To be expected for a 3 hour audiobook though I guess. I pity the protagonists, they’ve got a lot of shit to figure out. Really great voice work though!

It was odd. It started off meh, then got a lot better and ended well. These are two unlikeable people whose marriage you are most definitely NOT rooting for, and yet, I kept reading. It's def a commentary on modern marriages and destructive, toxic people.

This is 2 and a half hours of a very average, boring couple fighting. There is nothing interesting about them or the fight. The woman is continually described as beautiful, like that's some sort of a virtue. She's in marketing, he's is advertising, they no longer like each other very much.
If you are on the fence about having children, listening to this might help you decide. If you are a like to listen to privileged middle class capitalists bicker, this might be the book for you. I DNFd it with less than an hour to go because I did not care what happened to these boring, whiney, tedious people. The book was free, but no-one can give me that hour and a half of my life back.

Honestly, this was so boring. The character just went into a spiral of non-communication and payback. Ugh, I was infuriating to listen to.

This should have been called "why narcissists shouldn't breed".

Holly and Cam are horrible people, and there was nothing to like about this short. I only kept listening to see if things got better. They had to get better, right?

Wrong. So, so wrong!

Kudos to Stephen Curry for his narration, the one good thing I have to say.

I am just glad that this was a freebie and didn't spend my hard earned on it - and I NEVER say that
