The plot reads like a 10 year old had a go at writing a ‘horror’ novel. Awful.

This was more than I expected!! Grady Hendrix always delivers. If I could give this a 10 star I would!!

Haunted house meets Annabelle and Child’s Play!! Mix in some family drama and what a story. Half was through it took a sharp right turn into crazy town and I loved it!!

Highly recommend! And what a great book to finish 2022 on. Thanks Berkley for sending me my Uncorrected Proof.

If you like horror, if you like a good Gothic tale, if you’ve ever read anything by Grady Hendrix and enjoyed it even a little bit – please read this book. Read it all. Read the dedication, the dear reader, every single word. Grady’s books sometimes get hard for me, because they’re unexpectedly dark; this one made me sob when I finished it, because I’ve had that dream and it hurts to wake up.

Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC. I’m so glad I read this book.

This was my first Grady Hendrix novel and it was as much of a wild ride as I thought it would be! Louise and her estranged brother Mark deal with the unexpected death of their parents, but they find a lot more than they expected when they begin cleaning out their parents house. Many twists(some I guessed, but I don't think it's particularly predictable) and many shocks(I can't tell you the amount of time I spent reading this book with this face
