The amount of times I visibly gasped in excitement and disgust is great, with the twists that I half expected and didn't see coming at all. It's just brilliant. And the audiobook with the various of voice actors switching for each POV??? My god, chief's kiss.
Bury me with this book like how they buried that body.

It did tire me a bit more than the other two books (The Hunting Party and The Guest List).Ā  It think it wasn't very well balanced, almoat nothing happened for the two thirds of the book and then an avalanches of events in the last third. The main characters needed a bit more work, they were a bit weak. But I liked the ending (well kind of), and I had a good timeĀ

Man. My overall description of this book: A whole lot of talking without much investigating. Literally nothing happened for the vast majority of it. šŸ«  All the way at 60%, the characters were STILL prattling on about how everything ā€œwent badā€ when Ben arrived, but still nothing had been revealed! What was Ben doing? What went bad? Is this whole book just full of all of the characters complaining and disliking each other? Ahhhhh!

Now that weā€™ve gotten that rant out of the way, the ending was actually very good! I really liked the twist, granted it took over 300 pages to get there. Excruciatingly boring, but almost worth it, I guess? I bet thereā€™s a lot of people who despise this book. šŸ˜… Iā€™ll sit right in the middle at three stars. Although Iā€™m glad I never have to read it again. šŸ˜‚

At times, it did feel a little slow (though honestly, I canā€™t really imagine the story progressing any differently). But overall, I really, really liked the book! It was very gripping, especially in the last half.Ā
