Meh I was bored. The whole thing felt very convoluted just to get to where we did. The inserts of French also took me out of the story a lot. This could’ve taken a really cool investigative aspect instead of the route it went. Lucy Foley does always have a few shocking plot twists tho.

Enjoyed isn't quite the right word for this book, but it kept my attention and I think overall made a good thriller. It also surprised me a few times.

The setting in Paris was unique and added to the mystery. I didn't like or feel for any characters in the novel, almost as if I was very distant from them as a reader. The switching between POVs helped show the many complex sides of the story. This book made me feel shocked and intrigued. It made me think about the elite and their power over the poor, especially women, worldwide.
