I LOVED this book. I loved that Caleb knew he wanted Carlotta and curved his way of going for a woman to make her feel safe with him. I loved that Caleb didn’t care what he son thought sure he might have second guessed if it was a big deal to him but it wasn’t so he went forward. I loved that Carlotta might have fought her feelings at first but then gave her self the permission to move forward. The NARRATION I WANT MORE! I want him to narrate some of the longer books PLEASE!!!

This was a cute novella. I liked that we got to see a little more of Carlotta and Caleb. I will admit that it was a little strange for me to read about about a couple who was considerably older than most sexy books, but I think it was done in a way that you almost forgot their ages. It was only when Carlotta would talk bad about herself that I would remember. But then Caleb made her feel so good. It was really cute.

I admit this book took forever for me to read. I purposely stayed away because for some reason reading about two "mature" adults was daunting to me. However I am so glad I did. I honestly should have known better. The Colonel is HOT. Carla is Luscious. Together they were sexy and completely addictive. I loved their story and the happy ending was the cherry on top.

Love this novella about side characters Carlotta (Kata's mom) and Caleb (Hunter's dad). I've been hoping they would get together since book 4!

Oh how I love me some Shayla. I need to read more of her books. I didn't realize how much I missed these guys till I got a little but of them again!
I was so happy she did this one. I knew there was a spark I saw it when she was staying with him while she got better. I also knew that with her marriage the way it was it would take her a while.
I was so happy they got their HEA!

Está bien escrito, pero me supera que los personajes principales tengan más de cincuenta años cada uno, y se digan "nena" o "nene". Simplemente NO.

This novella gave us a taste of something more mature. I don't often read books with an older couple but I must say that the writing was certainly vibrant. I have read a few Shayla Black novels now and I have always found them to be somewhat the same formula but I did like this one because it showed us characters that were put by the wayside. Now they have a voice and I really like that. Definitely a good quick read.
