JT Ellison has some how managed to surpass all her previous books with this one! There was a good steady build up to the ending which had my heart racing and had me hanging on to the book for dear life desperate to see how it all came out! And now I'm stuck here in England having to wait for the next book to hurry up over here from The USA because I really need to know what happens next!

#6 in Taylor Jackson series. Continuing where "The Immortals" left off, Taylor is still being stalked by the Pretender who now has "apprentices" in a vast online game who are committing murders mimicking dead serial killers leading up to Taylor as the final target. Leaks in the police or FBI are hindering the investigation & Taylor finds herself riding the fine line between revenge and justice. Baldwin is suspended from the FBI & keeping a bombshell from Taylor while assisting her with tracking down the murderers. Tension between them causes Taylor to make some rash decisions. Will she live with them or will the Pretender finally take away everything?

Well done. This might be my favorite Taylor Jackson so far. Lots of action, murderers converging from all over the US and Taylor and Baldwin enduring a bit of domestic turmoil. Great read. On to book 7 and now excited to read the two books featuring Sam.

In this 6th installation of the Taylor Jackson series, Homocide Lieutenant Taylor Jackson finally meets face to face with the serial killer known as The Pretender. The elusive and cryptic stalker who has been taunting her for the past several novels has decided that it's about time for them to become better acquainted, and its a mad race for Taylor to find out who he is before he hurts another person she loves...

It was SO good. I only wish it would have ended differently.
