Redemption by @tkleigh 🖤
.
First and foremost, I finished this book in less than 24 hours (that counts me sleeping about 7-8 of those hours and also normal life activities, such as eating and such)
.
Redemption, book 2 in the Redemption Series, had me wondering which way was up and which was down a few times, in a good way. This was the continuation of Brooklyn and Drew’s story and it started off with Brooklyn making a decision. A decision that had me on the edge of my seat. Bouncing back and forth from what her head feels is right and her heart wants, Brooklyn battles with her past to help her decide her future.
.
So much happens in Redemption. Tension. Anxiety. Heartbreak. Swooning. Fear. Love. Laughter.
I couldn’t put it down 🖤 And on Page 379... a new book coming soon!!!
.
Thank you for another fantastic story T.K. Leigh 🖤 Now I need to read Writing Mr. Right, which I’m sad I hadn’t done yet.

The ending I needed!

Such a great story. So much back and forth for poor Brooklyn and Drew. Will they ever be able to work things out and find their happily ever after? Must read to find out! ;)

This book was recommended to me by my cousin. She seemed to really enjoy the series so I thought I’d give it a shot.

I’ll just start by saying, the friends to lovers trope isn’t my favourite which is probably why I had such a hard time enjoying this series. I was also not a fan of the storyline either - I feel as though the story was dragged out for far too long. What was written in 2 novels, I feel could have just been shortened to 1.

After weeks of not reading it because I couldn’t enjoy the storyline, I found myself skipping a bunch of chapters (like half the book) just because of the long, repetitiveness and to finally get to the point in the second book.

I can kind of see why people would enjoy this series, but it just wasn’t for me.

Brooklyn Tanner has been in love with Andrew Brinks for as long as she can remember and it is only brought her heartache so she finds herself engaged to another man, Wes, whom she knows will never hurt her.

Andrew Brinks made a decision years ago that forced him to walk away from his only true love and it is a mistake that has cost him dearly yet he knew it was a choice he had to make. Now he is back and desperate for another chance with Brooklyn but she no longer belongs to him and will she ever trust him again after he broke her heart?

Can Brooklyn and Andrew figure out if they belong together or are they destined for their own heartbreaks?

OMG - I was so anxious for this follow up and I was not disappointed at all!!

I really liked Brooklyn but I was so mad at her for being with Wes when I knew she wasn't completely in love with him and that her heart belonged to Andrew. No matter how much hell Wes's mother put her through she seemed so determined to go through with everything and it made me so frustrated!!! Yet I still crossed my fingers she would figure things out.

My heart just broke for Andrew and everything he went through in this book. I was shocked at what Carla did to him and couldn't figure out why she would do it after all this time. Then when he discovers everything else and it costs him Brooklyn again because she discovered where he was just devastated me! The stuff with Charlotte tore my heart apart and the poor guy deserved more than he was getting!

At one point I was so happy with everything and then the "TV" incident happened and I was like - OMG nooooo!!!! I was very mad at Brooklyn for not hearing Andrew out! I loved Ana and how she really helped Andrew get a last ditch attempt in and then she allowed the truth from the very beginning to get out.

The end was awesome and I am so glad for everything that happened. I was super happy about Carla and everything that she did and then in return what Andrew did for her!

Love this series and I can't wait for more!!

Sixty forgiveness to happiness?!

I've read this series multiple times before but realized I never left a review for this one. I just clicked purchase on my physical copies. The testament of their love from both Drew and Brooklyn is amazing. To be there for each other regardless of being in love with the other through ups and downs throughout life. Shows the selfless love they each had, but sometimes you need to be a little selfish to reach your ultimate happiness. This was a great story about second chances, forgiveness, commitment and redemption. I wish I knew what came of all that practice and how their wedding turned out.

Does this duet end with a bang! I wanted to yell and scream but I also understood where Brooklyn was coming from. Being shattered over and over again, she cannot deny her heart. It broke me watching her and Drew with their tug of war that they had going on. Then there were these unexpected twist and turns that get thrown at both of them. Between Wes and his mother, Drew’s ex wife and ex fling throwing things at them, I am surprised at how things all played out. Will Brooklyn pick Drew or stay with Wes? That is the million dollar question! When things are told to Brooklyn, she has so much to consider!
Overall, this really was a story of Redemption. Not just for Drew and Brooklyn. With everything that was exposed, that love finds a way. I absolutely adored this duet from TK Leigh. Even though it is a lot lighter than some of her other stories, you still get some crazy moments that have you going WTF! I highly recommend this duet because it is unique and really makes you feel!

The end of this series was all I expected and more! Drew and Brooklyn's story hits very close to home for me. First love sticks with you, it has a way of molding you into the person you will become. It can also ruin you for everyone else. This is definitely a series I wish I could read over again got the first time. I really enjoyed the journey! #MustRead
