Crabby Crab might be a little crabby. I wonder why?

A great story about being positive and loving yourself.

The summary for this book on the copyright page reads, "Crabby Crab, unhappy about the way he looks and moves, is surprised to learn that he is loved just the way he is." Had I not read this, I would not have known he was surprised.

This complaint is the reason for my low rating. Most of the pages are an exchange: first we're told how Crabby Crab looks or moves, and then we're told how he wishes he looked and moved. The last two panels are of the "we" in the story telling Crabby Crab we love him just the way he is, even when he's being crabby.

And that's it. The end. How did the person who wrote the summary know Crabby Crab was surprised to learn he's loved just the way he is? Did this person read a different version of this story, or what??

Had I not read the summary on the copyright page, I would have rated the story higher. I thought it was a really good introduction of crabs to kids. I'm always a fan of educational material being shared in fun ways. It's just my bad luck (or should that be [a:Chris Raschka|28939|Chris Raschka|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1273764909p2/28939.jpg]'s bad luck?) that I always read copyright pages. :(
