This is the type of thriller I would watch on tv. Too bad it’s on a streaming platform I don’t subscribe to. I totally enjoy listening to Spanish programs and reading the English subtitles.

Red Queen is the first in a trilogy. Black Wolf, the second book, just had the English translation come out. I don’t do series, so you know I found Antonia and Jon’s story interesting if I want to continue.

Really enjoyed the writing and the characters. I was listening to this as an audiobook and did find the plot a little hard to keep up with at points but I don't think that would have happened if I'd read it in print.

Bored - didn't find the characters very likeable and wasn't enough going on.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC of this book. This is a great read for fans of the thriller/crime fiction genre, with a very unique "detective" character. I can see the parallels to Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, though I'd argue there was less rage here. I also enjoyed the setting in various parts of Spain. It felt a little long, but I was glad I made it through.
