Every time I read something about WW II I learn new facts (or maybe re learn something I had forgotten). This book is so amazing and a must read. In the light of the NFL showing their disrespect for the flag right now, I take personal offense to this non profit organization and the players who have never read such a book. The lives of these thousands of boys, sacrificed. Amazing.

War isn't pretty. Loved hearing the stories of these ordinary men and how one moment of a picture made them famous.
