Gantz is a interesting series throughout. Volume 3 is probably one of the weaker volumes yet it still contains some awesome moments. Kei and crew made it and they're trying to adjust to normal life again. It's not easy and nothing seems right but they try their best. That's when Kei's crush wants to live with him as a...pet! You guessed. Welcome to Japan. Also a new game is about to begin at the end that starts to really get this series going again.

What I liked: Kei is a dumbass. He is rude, he thinks of only fucking, and he's kind of a asshole. However, this is the Kei of the start. The selfish prick. I love watching him slowly grow into something new. You see the start but just that so far. I also really enjoyed the last few chapters. It really ramps up and the stakes feel high when someone is murdered and someone is missing their main weapon. Also the art is still top notch.

What I didn't like: Kei is really pathetic here. Also the street thug part was kind of dumb. I also think this series has too much fan service tits. Like so much tits even I'm like "Come on now" and I love tits!

Gantz is a fun series. A bit dumb at times, bit too much fan service, but it's HIGHLY entertaining and the growth of Kei is still coming (Calm down guys I promise). So I can't wait to keep reading!

I had problems with this volume. Maybe if it had been longer I would have liked it better. It’s still an interesting concept and I am going to continue it because the co-worker that recommended it said it gets better.

This manga is so cool it deals with the protagonists normal life and of course the incredible action.
It's utterly and absolutely sexy.
I have taken a few peeks at some advanced volumes and the action is going to only get better.
I am actually waiting for the turning point in the action to give it the whole five stars.

DNF- I came here for the aliens and tripped out sci-fi and all I got was this crappy pile of sexist gibberish and male angst.

Annnnnd this is where I jump off the Gantz train and throw myself under the wheels of the NOPE train instead. And with any luck I'll wake up tomorrow morning as if the last thirty minutes of boob and angst infested trash never happened. Being a fan of the live action films (which you SHOULD totally watch - five stars), and having never seen the anime (I think there is an anime?) I pushed myself through vols 1 & 2. Despite the fact that there is at least one whole chapter devoted to Kishimoto's writhing naked body, and despite Kurono being a horrible selfish horny little so and so, I made it through the preceding volumes. But here I can take no more panels of heaving soapy breasts, no more horny Kurono spying through the shower curtin at said heaving soapy breasts, and no more Kishimoto asking Kurono if he is allowed to have a cat or dog in his apartment because she wants to move in and be his pet *pukes*

I would love this series for the mystery if not for the SA. The premise is super intriguing.
However, the CONSTANT sexual harassment and hypersexualization of the only female character is such a huge downer. Every time she is seen, she's either naked, half naked or groped (or worse). And we are talking about an underage highschooler who still lives with her mom.
It's really obnoxious and extreme and I just can't keep reading.

Ok so I think the things I don't like in this manga out weigh the things I like. And if I have ranked the volumes I've read so far not super highly, I should logically drop this series and go read something I'd like more. But also I want to keep reading for some reason. But I feel like a lot recently I've been binge reading manga series that I don't care for as much and just idk I don't think I should do this. But, I am probably going to.
I do like actually like some things about this manga and I'm enjoying myself while reading it. My rating system is just weird and usually has to do with my gut reaction so here we are.
I don't know if I'll end up reading all like almost 40 (I think) volumes of Gantz, but I'm going to read at least a little farther.
